About this Costume
Construction Details:
I am so happy with the way this costume looks! to a seasoned cosplayer it probably is a piece of cake, but to me it was really difficult. mainly the wig and the harp, haha.
The dress is an imitation crepe satin, made from a modified middle-ages dress pattern. I sewed many bridal buttons (as opposed to a zipper) on the back so it would be pretty, but it ended up being a moot addition (her hair covers them).
The hair ornaments and bracelets are craft foam, painted purple and blue. her shoes are made of leather, but I'm definitely redoing them (again), haha.

the harp is made from plywood, spray-foam, wall spackle, and bondo. It was a tedious process, and I intend to update it.
Personal Thoughts:
I loved zelda's Skyloft dress, but I hadn't seen very many goddess variations when I started this costume in summer of 2012. I really wanted to try something that hadn't been done a lot. I had so much fun with this costume despite the many roadblocks.

Wig Review
Originally, I had a platinum blonde Le tigre long from Arda-Wigs, but it would not lay flat enough in certain areas. I bought the current wig on a whim a week before the con, and it was so soft and smooth I quickly styled it! it's so easy to brush out after sticking to the static-y dress.
