Construction Details:

This set of costumes was a group effort. Again, Brittney's mother, Caroline, did a good majority of the work on these costumes. The leotards were bought, and Caroline took us shopping to help pick out the fabric and colors for each scout. All of the scout costumes were made at Brittney's house, and she and her mother did most of the organizing for this group. I went over for several weekends before the convention and helped cut out bow pieces, top stitch things and I made all of the heart emblems for each scouts front bow. The skirts were made mostly by Caroline, and instead of having the traditional roll at the top, she made them with wide elastic so that it could fit more than one girl in case we ever wanted to switch them up. Caroline was so kind, and gave me an old pair of her boots which we spray painted to be the right green color. We shortly found out that spray painted boots flake a LOT, but for the one time wear it worked out really well. I had really long hair at the time, so I didn't need to use a wig for Jupiter.

Personal Thoughts:

These were so much fun to wear. It was my first experience with a huge group, and everyone just loved seeing all of us together!
