Construction Details:

I wanted to use this costume as an excuse to get rid of fabric in my closet. The only thing I really bought was the wig, choker, and boning for the corset, so that was pretty awesome.

The wig was terrible. The photo from ebay looked exactly what I wanted, but the wig arrived looking like Selphie from FF8. My wig styling skills is very poor, so I wasn't able to fix it well enough and it only looked good half the time. Oh well.. I have another wig I'm cutting up for later use.

The bolero was really simple, but I used it as an excuse to practice my lining and sewing skills. I'm very happy with the result even though it has a slight fitting issue.

I didn't have enough fabric for the skirt, so mine came out really thin. I gave it a slightly exaggerated angle cut that it used to have in the first design because I really liked how it looked and I think it fit more with how thin my skirt was.

The boots I already own except they were painted black. They still need another coat!

The corset was my favourite part of this project. I'm not 100% happy with the shape, but it was my first time completing a corset and it was such a fun project. I still want to tweak a few details (re-do the stitching to be less apparent, pendant on the choker, etc), but I'm pretty happy with it overall. I have to practice my waist training!

Note: I made this costume before the game came out, so some details I wasn't able to add because I wasn't aware of them. I also based my skirt off an early design of hers, but I wish I kept it longer because the proportions look so silly on me. :s

Update: I wore it again to Anime North with some new changes. A new wig styled by Obsidian-Endings and a bird pendant by Undead Pixels. I also changed a few things on the corset. I think I'm done with this costume because I'd rather make a new one now that the game is out. >_>

Personal Thoughts:

Bioshock is one of my favourite games, so I've been excited for Infinite since it was announced. I fell in love with Elizabeth's design, so I had to say yes when my cosplay twin said she wanted to be the Booker to my Elizabeth for Pax East. Mine is based off an earlier design of Elizabeth where her skirt had more of a dramatic curve to it.
