???~Leotard~???
I used a high quality lycra spandex from my stash to make the leotard. I patterned it from scratch using some input from Shocktress as I worked on fitting & accuracy. It is fully lined.
???~Delta Red Pin~???
I made the pin out of polystyrene which I shaped & coated in red. I then attached magnets to it so that it would not damage the leotard and also to make it removable if need be.
???~Gauntlets~???
I made the gauntlets out of EVA foam. Shocktress cut the circular parts for me and I did all the straight cuts and we both did the attachments, I did the main arm bits and Shocktress did the hand parts for the sake of time since I only was able to really start working on them 2 days before the convention and it was my first time working with EVA foam thicker than foamies/fun foam.
???~Hat~???
I bought a red wool military beret and attached the patch I made. I patterned the patch and made it from a scrap of yellow twill. I satin stitched the edges of the patch and added interfacing to stiffen it up. The design was drawn by Shocktress using SSF4 as reference, I just cleaned up the image and then transferred it it to the patch.
???~Tights~???
I purchased some dance tights so that I wouldn't have leg seams and also for my own comfort. Shocktress drew/painted all the camouflage stripes onto my tights while I wore them.
???~Boots & Socks~???
I bought a pair of authentic leather military boots and then I patterned & made the rings for the tops. The red socks were altered thigh-highs since that was all we could find with the right look & color. (I forgot to wear the socks the 1st time I wore the cosplay) ;_;
Wig Details
- Styling Notes
- I had to add some hair to the front of the wig to hide the wig edge. The hair spike took a little trial and error (and a bit of pain ;_;) to get it to the point where I was happy with it.
