Construction Details:

This costume involved a lot of rectangles, circle skirts, and gold bias tape. All of the red is Casa satin and all of the pink is Casa crepe. The wrist cuffs and waist cincher are made out of cotton target and reinforced with craft foam. All of the patterns were drafted. The cape is approximately 9' long and wide (because we're crazy...) because we wanted to make these costumes look as close to the artbook image as possible. The resin gems were cast and colored by Sara and the gold details were painted on after everything was finished. The "main" gem is 1/2 of a large keepsake ornament that was colored with the same hobby paint as the rest of the gems. Everything attaches with snaps or is held up with elastic. The skirt "poof" was achieved by using 2 petticoats.

Costume made for my cosplay teammate Sara. Sara styled her own wig and cast all of her resin gems.
