Construction Details:

I found references, but the best ref was turning on the game and staring at her butt for hours on end. I got a lot a criticism on my positioning of her ears, but I choose it because that's what her ears do in the game-- usually face back as she's listening behind her. Whatever.

The bodysuit was made by hacking a leotard up- I couldn't sew yet. All of the armor was made from Craft foam. I patterned it out by eye-balling it, cut it to shape, painted the raised details with 3-d fabric/puffy paint, sealed it with Modge Podge, spray painted it black, and then sealed it with Modge Podge again. That's the jist of it, and if you want to no more, shoot me a message. I can go into much more detail.

The ears were made from white posterboard and the sleeve of fur just slipped right over it. They were glued into the helmet as one big piece.

I love/hated this costume. It was a pain to wear, extremely uncomfortable, and made me a huge bitch. But I always received such nice comments and crazed reactions that it made it worth it.

My fiance as Balthier, obviously. I made his costume as well.

Personal Thoughts:

This. Monster. This was my second cosplay ever, made for a group that never ended up happening. Still, I wore the heck out of this stupid thing-- one and a half years it lasted-- and I kind of miss it to the point where I have considered remaking it.
