Construction Details:

As for what I did for this costume... not much unfortunately. I didn't have time to make it, only put it together. I bought the uniform, wig, and hat, but everything else I either put together or had to search for on my own.

I made the sword using a pre-style fake one that I modified. I changed the hilt with clay and paint, made the sheath and then with the help of one of my friends spray painted the sword to give it a nicer, sharper look to it. I found the shoes at my local mall and I loved how they worked with the outfit; totally met his serious nature right on. I used a button down shirt for the inside of the outfit and found gloves for it as well. I also used purple contacts and used make up to make myself appear pale.

Overall, I was really pleased with how this came out.

Personal Thoughts:

So... Ayanami... Man, I love this character. It was such a blast to Cosplay as him. I took a ton of photos as him with a good friend of mine and she's going to send me the pictures when she's done with them (she's such an awesome photographer, like, to no end does she rock like that). I also went with a group of 07 Ghost cosplayers (that included Hyuuga, Kuroyuri, and Teito) and we had fun with a photoshoot as well.
