Construction Details:

I didn't actually sew anything for this costume. I bought the pants, shirt, shoes, and tie. One of my friends gave me the jacket since it was an old one that their Dad wore (love them for it). My friend that cosplayed as Misa gave me the Death Note to use and then we got an apple.

The wig I bought on a day trip we took into NYC. (It was being sold along a strip of road that was nothing but wig stores and yet we've still never been able to find it again) >.< I styled the wig and I think there was improvement since the first two wigs I styled. Overall, I really liked the result! :)

Personal Thoughts:

So.... I had joked before that if I cosplayed from Death Note, it would be Light Yagami, but I never thought that I'd actually cosplay as him! But I'm so glad I did. :) I didn't really sew much for this costume. Mostly it just a process of gathering pieces of it together. Best thing about the pictures I got? Red Eye. First time I had ever been grateful for it. I had a friend who went as L Lawliet and we both styled each other's wigs. My favorite thing about the costume? We were able to get long handcuffs for it. I know it's been done, but it still adds to the effect. Overall, it was a lot of fun and I wouldn't mind going as Light again. :) (And gah, I'm just realizing that I never took this to a con, what's wrong with me?! D8)
