About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
total cost was under 100 dollars including the wig
old curtains were the pants the trim and everything is bias tape and black cotton from another previous project, which i also used for a seperate belt. the spanx are an old swimsuit bottom and i got blue tights on clearnace at wet seal.
giant triangle studs, skull buckle, and hair rings are all fimo with individual crystals or shimmer put onthem. because evil can still be fabulous :)
top was blue upholstery fabric i bought on sale for 5 bucks a yard- i just kind of cut out the basic shape, added snaps to the collar and used elastic for the straps. bias tape trim and i put the studs on myself and painted on the front design.
The wig is a short black base wig that i cut the bangs into and added extentions on the sides. the 'horns' are foam covered in weave hair and glued/sewn on
arm warmers are swimsuit lycra with bias tape trim and the gloves are just winter gloves with the finers cut off and i made fabric padded 'sparring gloves' to go over them. the spiked bracelets are rubber that i got at a party store
- Personal Thoughts:
- The most i've ever sewn! Very comfortable to wear, and i wanted to be blue because i know there would be multiple Juris because SFxTK had just come out and I play with a blue alt. costume :)
I'm not much of a sewer, the pants were the hardest part of it and i probably spent 48 hours on them alone. the curtain fabric i used for them was like trying to sew water and it frayed very quick
The little details were the most fun to do
