Construction Details:

It was a rather simple costume. The fabric for the dress is a cotton sateen that was a bit on the bright side for Sophie so I did some color removal on it trying to fade it out a bit... sadly all it did was remove the yellow from the green- resulting in a strange blue/green color with some portions. Thankfully I had enough fabric to remake the portions that were unsavable. It worked out in the end with very faint shade differences that are really not that noticeable.
The apron and nylons were from a previous costume. Boots were found at a thrift store that sadly made me even taller than my Howl. >.<
Her hat was actually bought about 7+ years ago when I was on vacation in Hawaii with my family. Reuse! Yay!
I made Calcifer from super soft fleece and Turniphead was made by myself and Howl. His head is actually a real turnip!! It was mostly just a joke, we'll make a back up head for him later just in case since now at the moment hes headless.

Personal Thoughts:

My friend and I have always wanted to cosplay from a Miyazaki movie since we both love them all so much. I love how everything turned out! <3
