Construction Details:

The costume is both hand sewn and machine sewn, using an altered Simplicity pattern. It was lined in brocade satin because it was what I originally intended, but I liked the look of this fabric better.

Personal Thoughts:

Chun Li has been my favourite video game character since I was a kid- she was what I wanted in role models growing up: kicks ass, doesn't take crap from anyone.
I was talking with some friends about skit ideas, and one was making a Mai costume, so I was inspired to finally finish this for a fighting game crossover skit.
I would love to redo this one someday, because it was so much fun being Chun Li!
