About this Costume
Construction Details:
This costume has crazy amounts of detail in it so sorry if this is long!

Wig: I bought the wig prestyled on ebay, only thing I did to it was trim and style the bangs to be like Agitha's

Headress: I made it using my own pattern, and just used cotton fabric and ribbon for the straps, i added the trim to it as well, then hand beaded all the little black beads on it. I sculpted the beetles on the headress out of model magic, spray painted them gold and glued them to the headress with gem tac

top: the white part of the top was made with a pattern that I altered a bit, did the silver parts on the sleeve with craft foam, but I redid them and they are now embroidered and look waaaay better!! the blue top is 3 pieces sewn together, the lighter blue was custom dyed and hand painted, I then sewed the Burgundy obi to it along the side seams. I hand installed all of the grommets/eyelets, took forever and I also had to buy like a million packs of the grommets cause I could only find them in multicolor packs.. lol, the frilly edges are made with rick-rac

skirt: o how I love my skirt!!! The skirt took the absolute longest to construct!!!! The fabric was custom dyed by me, then hand painted with a stencil that I made it took forever.......... all of the triangles on the burgundy trim were individually cut, sewn, and pressed individually then attached to the upper trim, then that trim was attached to the cream colored trim, which was finally attached to the skirt!! I used my own patterns for the entire thing, it took a lot of trial and error to get the right shape and look to it! The tan pieces are all appliqued on! :)

Accessories: I made all the golden bugs out of fimo, then spray painted them gold, the bead bugs on the necklace were all hand sculpted and painted, the earrings were made out of model magic and hand painted. The butterflies on the dress and the wings were made out of craft foam and hand painted, the middle of the butterflies is model magic! I bought white tights and attached bows to them. I bought the gloves and attached rick rack for the squiggly designs, and did the dots with pearl gems glued on.
Personal Thoughts:
I knew the moment I met Agitha in the game that I HAD to cosplay her!! This costume was a work in progress for me, I started it rather early and decided I did not have the skills at the time to make it, so I waited a couple years and decided that I had finally learned enough to make her in 2010! :)
