Construction Details:

Given this was the first ballgown I've ever made, it proved be really difficult. The entire dress is made out of casa collection satins, and the bodice is from silk. I'm wearing a 3 hoop petticoat underneath, and all the whipped cream accents are carved from dry flower foam, mod podged, then painted. Strawberries are plastic, and the leaves were cut off of fake flowers.

There are a whole lot of snaffus I ran into with this, and things I'd love to update in a version two. The draping at the hip didn't come out as clean as I wanted, and falls a little short, and the bodice still doesn't fit quite right, but a lot of things were sacrificed due to time and money constraints. I'd love to remake the gloves, and find a better, cleaner way to attach the whipped cream collar, and make the hat sit more comfortably on my head.

Personal Thoughts:

Princess Parfait was so darling and wonderful to wear!! Though she's dessert and a bunny and a princess, you can't really go wrong with that! I'd love another opportunity to bring her back out.
