Construction Details:

I can't even begin to think of where to START with this thing. There are just so many parts omg. This is going to be a bunch of random thoughts mashed all over the place!

Each layer is its own full coat that fully close with buttons or hooks. I ended up having to create my own patterns or greatly alter patterns for most of it - especially that hood with a gazillion seams! AH!

Gauntlet bases, belts, pouches, shoulder pauldron, and boot spats were made from real leather and dyed to be the correct brown color- there is no vinyl or faux leather on the costume. The beautiful leather work on the gauntlets, belts, and pauldron were done by Neon Genocide. Chest and back armor were made from polystyrene plastic sheeting and rubber tubing by Neon Genocide. It is riveted into the jerkin and is removeable. (40 tiny button holes UGH!)

All of the sewing (including the pouches) was done by me, and it was annoying. I hand sculpted the belt and silver designs on the bracer. Neon genocide then made molds and cast them in resin. I did the finishing paint jobs on them. The silver plated bracer was made from Worbla which worked out wonderfully for this project.

Props:
The sword was made from wood and Paper clay by Neon Genocide, and he cast the daggers and throwing knifes in resin from an actual metal model.

We are still working on things with this costume, and hope to make it better for the next wear!

Personal Thoughts:

This costume was like making 3 costumes in one. UGH it was so annoying, and it's still not completed! ;_;
This was a joint effort between my husband, Neon Genocide and I. He did all of the hardened leather work on the belts, gauntlets, and pauldron. He also did all of the resin casting from sculpts I made by hand. Chest armor was also made by him.
