Construction Details:

Ugh. All of the black lines were individually sewn onto the dress and sleeves. There are like 100 yards of them and each one gets two lines of stitching. There is a petticoat I made stitched to the skirt and then the skirt is sewn to the top of the dress. There are like 400 studs on this bad boy and each one is done by hand. Then there are another 100 grommets, each one hammered individually. There about 10 yards of ruffles on the bottom of the skirt as well. Then the sleeves have 14 total hand made belts that velcro on to the sleeves.

THEN on top of all of that. My first ever real corset sits on top of the dress made out of, not fabric or something simple like that, but heavy doeskin leather. At least, I will say, this costume is super comfortable.

Personal Thoughts:

I'm really proud of this costume, it was not simple to make at all! It's very clean and fits awesome. I'm not the best seamstress but I'm just super happy with this costume. I am a stupid bitch though because I have the replica necklace and I forgot to wear it!! Ugh next time.
