About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
Ranka Wig bought off the marketplace, minimal styling.
Mint vest made from broadcloth, patterned by me, bias trim added, buttons are functional. The tails were added to the vest and are lined in magenta broadcloth. Musical notes on the end!! I made out of chipboard since it was what I had, but next time STYRENE~~~~~
Pants: These are a mess and I hate them and I'm remaking them but for now they're just a light pink cotton twill.
Ladybug: It's actually like a little pocketwatch sometimes and other times it's just a thing so I made it in between XD It's made from air dry clay.
Tights: THESE THINGS. So I knew only one place that had the right color- We Love Colors. And me, not understanding how weeks work, was like "oh i have two weeks until AB!!!" when it was actually like...4 days. So I ordered thigh highs in mint but they were out, so I had to beg them for the mint leggings and super fast shipping and somehow I got them in time. Then I cut them, sewed in the foot, added the satin trim, which is just pinked, and then the elastic garters with chiffon bows. Oh and painted the polka dots.
The shoes are my lolita shoes.
Oh I forgot the upper half.
Collars are not actually two collars since it'd be bulky, but interfaced white bridal satin collar, then matching pink collar tips. Then a tie with painted details.
The cuffs are bridal satin, slip on with bias trim, and hand gathered, they're interfaced tooooo
The hair bows are just simple bows and the giant pink one is sewed into the back of the wig.
Uh.
THE TOP HAT. I made this costume because of the top hat and the color scheme (well and i love this Ranka song)! So the top hat is chip board. With the mint broadcloth cut on the bias. Then I added the bridal satin as a ribbon on top and lots of little feathers, a heart I ACTUALLY HAD ALREADY FROM MY ROOMIE FROM VALENTINE'S DAY LOLLLL, and yeh. Think that's all.
