Construction Details:

My mom is a seamstress and keeps all of her old patterns, it turns out the only patter for a princess-seamed dress was the pattern for her wedding dress! I'm lucky that she let me use it! Everything else was hand-drafted by me. I made the plate on the habit, the yoyo and the shoe covers out of model magic (and aluminum foil) My friend helped me make the big handcuff out of lots of cardboard and duct tape. I used some kind of quilting material and hot glued them onto chunky payless sneakers. The habit was super heavy and would awkwardly slide off of my head, a few years after I sewed wig clips into it to keep it in place!

Personal Thoughts:

My old favorite costume, I wore it so many times! The big handcuff fell apart after the first time I wore it, I've been wanting to re-make the entire costume so that it's 100% accurate. Maybe a different color variation next time? The first time I wore it was at Animenext 2006, and the last time I wore it was at Anime Boston 2009! What a long run...
