Costume rated as Hard because of the Candy Kart, which had an insane amount of tiny things.

♥ Vanellope by the Numbers ♥ :
95 stars for the Candy Kart
45-50 individual hair pieces
40 feet of piping painted for the Candy Kart "gummy" wheels
30-40 "sprinkles" for the kart
35 different paints mixed and used
8 striped exhaust/spoiler pipes
5 awesome people to cosplay with
4 oz of fabric paint for the leggings (OMG, don't do this, this was not a great idea hahaha JUST SEW THEM!!!)
3 weeks (to make the costume and car)
1 yard of hot pink cording

Personal Thoughts:

This is one of those costumes that looks deceptively easy but isn't because of all the tiny details. At the time, reference images were limited so it's a bit difficult to make things if you don't have enough pictures! LOL

Another thing about Vanellope and her Candy Kart, is that sometimes it was hard to look at because it's just so sugary-sweet and it can make a person want to go eat some chips with spicy salsa or saltine crackers!

I feel like I can really relate to Vanellope and where she comes from, in terms of not really fitting in and being different from everyone. I love how she's witty and spunky.

Styling Notes

50" Black Shooter Style Straight Ponytail Clipon Set, was what I used by Epic Cosplay. I figured I would get one that had two clip ones because I can always use the other other one for any other cosplays. So I snipped off quite a bit to make a foot long pony tail. I trimmed the bangs a few inches. 2 hours styling because it took me an hour to place all the candy hair pieces :)

Wig Review

This wig is SO SOFT!!! At least in my experience, it does not tangle as bad either.
