About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
For how simple this costume looks, I tried a lot of new sewing skills that I have never done before. This includes boning in the black under-corset, using horsehair braid in the bottom of the dress, bias tape hems, shoe-making, new wig styling techniques for the bangs, and that darn circular bias cut-out in front. I am beyond happy with the result!
Resin soul gem by the most adorable Madoka, Cepia!
Felt Taiyaki by PorkBuns. - Personal Thoughts:
- Kyoko is my favorite of the characters and I really wanted to cosplay her and run around eating food all the time. I think I succeeded.
Wig Details
- Styling Notes
- The pony tail and extra clip of this wig add a significant amount of weight, and I was afraid that it would fall off of my head too easily as it did in trial runs, but it managed to stay extremely secure on my head once I took some extra precautions of adding a few weft clips to the hairline and extra pins!
- Wig Review
- The only issue with the wig I had is the fact that it is too large, which is a well-known fact about this style so I knew that going into it. I managed to make it work, and might take it in in the back a bit more when I wear it in the future, but it wasn't very noticeable!
