About this Costume
Construction Details:
jacket and vest were made from modified patterns. my first blazer since I made England back in 2010 - the collar was a little tricky but I figured it out pretty easily. it's probably the best garment I've made to date and I am SO proud of it!

the leotard was purchased. JuuJuu sent us the lace from her stash and I hand-stitched it on. (while I was wearing it, for added hilarity.) I helped Yashuntafun install snaps on the sides, reinforced with a strip of interfacing.

the skirts were patterned by Meru and sent to each of us. since she is about as big around as my thigh, I had to modify it to make it a little bigger. each spiky layer is made of two layers of suiting, heavy interfacing on the inside, and finished with bias tape (mitered corners errweerrrrrrr). there are technically supposed to be two white layers but in the interest of time and money I had to make only one. there is a medium-weight interfacing fused to it and the scallops were done by tracing the edges with a soldering iron. I made a stencil for the eagle, fused some gold satin to some Heat n Bond, and used the soldering iron to cut it out. it didn't come out as clean as I had wanted, and since my machine was acting up hardcore I attached it with hot glue >>;;

the stockings were modified by installing snaps (which I had painted) and attaching elastic for the garters. the garters were pinned on to the leotard since I had to do it while I was getting ready to meet up with the other girls. I do plan to sew them on, but the pins worked surprisingly well.

my matching tie didn't come in time so I had to make do with my Beatrice tie. and the patches were custom made for the group by Rufflebutt Cosplay!

there will be some touch-ups before I wear her again as Mammon, but this is definitely my new favorite cosplay to wear. surprisingly comfy too!
Personal Thoughts:
made for Katsucon 2013 for what was supposed to be a full group. the other two dropped at the last second, but working with these girls and getting to spend a whole evening doing photos with them was wonderful. I will never forget how kindly they treated me and welcomed me into their group.

Wig Review
color wasn't quite what I expected and I kind of wish I had chosen a different base wig, since it is super short in the back, but it worked.
