Construction Details:

Quickest costume ever, aside from Terezi. Skirt is hand-patterned with the seams paneled in, an elastic waistband, hand-painted Virgo glyph and hand-patterned undershirt made out of black rayon. I bought dove gray tights for my legs/feet. Horns are from my Dolorosa cosplay, originally made by ceriene.

Personal Thoughts:

I don't know why it took me this long to cosplay Kanaya???? When I was first reading Homestuck, my guide to "lol who should I cosplay" was Joey/Kusariku, who thought I'd make a good Rose and Terezi, respectively. He turned out to be right on the money with who I resonated with most, and until now I've been living a Lalonde Pyrope life. I'm really glad, though, that I'm cosplaying Kanaya because personality-wise, I think we are very alike, particularly with our lack of luck in the romance department but the idea that many people like and respect us for advice and a shoulder to cry on. (Plus, my rising sign is Virgo and sometimes I act much more like one of those than like my main sign Gemini). I loved getting to auspisticize between my Karkat and Sollux and run around with my moirail wearing Terezi and hang out with Andrea and Kacie ;w;
