Construction Details:

First time making a body suit~ The main body was made out of 4-way stretch matte black vinyl and the chest had 2-way stretch black vinyl and gold vinyl. The lacing on the legs, sides, boots, and hood are corset lacing that I died yellow. The bat ears are made from foam that I paper mached and gesso'd and were covered in the matte vinyl and attached to the hood separately. The hood is also a separate piece because it's easier to change and I had limited visibility. The cape was made out of regular cotton but the bat symbol on the back was made out of [ugh] kona cotton just because it was shinier. I distressed the cape with my hand scissors and some sandpaper. The gloves WERE going to be vinyl but that was a disaster so I just bought some black "dress" gloves, added my gold designs, and sewed on my arm spikes [made the same way as the bat ears]. The batarangs were also made the same way the bat ears were made except the vinyl part. I sanded them down a bit and just painted them black. The utility belt was made with yellow vinyl and are functional - the middle batman symbol belt piece was made the same way as the batarangs.
