Helmet, Mace, and Chest Logo was created by my friend: Skylow Studio.
1st I measured the elevators and doors at the Marriott Marquis in Atlanta, before I did anything else. Got to make sure I can fit and be able to move around without an issue. I draped and created the patterns for the wings. I hand stitched the quills and the plums were meticulously glued onto Lycra Spandex. I lost count as to how many feathers I used, but I know its over 900. The frame underneath is made out of 4 small wooden 1 inch thick boards, 4 aluminum rods, 2 PVC pipe connectors, and 2 large door hinges. This is what gives my wings the ability to move back and forward. Depending on how my upper body is position, the wings follow with gravity (great abs workout after wearing this). It weighs about 40 lbs, feathers and all. The top and bottom are both made out of Stretch Lycra Spandex. The bottom patterns I reused from patterns i have already made from previous projects. The top I draped and created patterns to make sure that there was going to be no seam line at the collar (trying to get the top to look like the illustration).
