About this Costume
Construction Details:
Because it was done on such short notice, I didn't have time to do any latex casting. So for the beak, I just used Kryolan Nose Putty. When I fix this up for the next time I wear it, I'll be casting the beak, as well as making custom ears. (I'll also be making her harp and hopefully her Rito wings, too!)

The boots were probably the most challenging part though. They're 5.5" stilettos with the heels removed. Surprisingly they were really easy to walk in! And they didn't hurt until I took them off and was able to point my feet again. :'D
Personal Thoughts:
I was just a wee youngin' when I played Wind Waker, and I remember being so obsessed with Medli. She was my favorite character by far (probably because of the duck beak). In fact, Medli was the first character I wanted to cosplay - before I even knew what cosplay was!

It's taken me quite a few years of cosplaying, but finally, I got to dress up as her! We did a little Wind Waker group at ColossalCon this year, and it was such a blast. Admittedly my costume was a rush job since I decided to make it ten days before the con, but I'm really happy with how it turned out!

All this wig required was pulling it into a low ponytail and then styling the two side pieces! It was very simple and straight-forward. :D
