Construction Details:

This was entirely hand-sewn and I used my own pattern. The base layer is satin and the top layer a polyester chiffon. The beads on the empire waist were originally wood beads painted with nail polish, then handsewn one by one. Then I found a chain of pink pearls at Claire's which then replaced it, given it a neater look.

Personal Thoughts:

Chibi Usa had always been one of my favourite Sailor Moon characters, and I forget what prompted me to decide on this as my first of her costumes that I've done... but I enjoyed making it and improving upon it throughout the years. Sadly, it was lost at the last convention I wore it to. Someday, I'd like to remake it maybe.
But honestly, this costume is probably one that is most special to me because I met so many friends through it.
