Construction Details:

Before Youmacon Ammie and I discussed Cosplaying from Sailor Moon at the con, but I wasn't sure if I would be up to wearing a fuku. Ammie was working on a Mistress 9 costume and she offered to make me Hotaru's black dress and her shawl as a Christmas gift so we could Cosplay together. Ammie is such a sweetheart! I really appreciate the gift and it was lovely to Cosplay from SM with her again! She makes a stunning Mistress 9.

Wearing this outfit gave me an excuse to bring the awesome Silence Glaive staff I commissioned from my friend Adrien last year. I had almost no photos of it prior to Youmacon and it's so wonderfully made.

The only annoyance I had was that my wig, despite applying lots of hairspray, would not cooperate. >.< My bangs are messy in every photo. I'll just have to fix up the wig and wear this outfit again sometime. (^^)

Personal Thoughts:

I love Cosplaying Sailor Saturn and I've wanted to do a casual outfit of one of the Scouts from Sailor Moon for ages. Ammie is such an enabler and I love her to bits. This is such a touching gift!
