Construction Details:

This costume was a little rushed, but I got most of it completed for Youmacon 2011.
I am missing the leg/arm straps for now.
Top - I altered a vest pattern to make the top. I do have the gradient on the back, but it is very subtle. Ths was my first time gradient dying.
Skirt - Since I was pressed for time, I found a ruffled skirt and dyed it purple.
Boots - I painted them with fabric paint. I knew they would crack, so until I get better boots, I will have to touch them up after every use.
Gloves - I have absolutely no experience making gloves, and I didn't want to try on short notice. So instead, I bought gloves. Unfortunetly, I could not find any cotton, so I had to settle for polyester. Polyester I know does not dye well at ALL, but i made it work.
Microphone - This was made in one day. I wasn't even sure I would have it in time, but I got it together. For a days work I am satisfied. I may re-make it in the future.
Feathers - I bought pink feathers and hand-dyed them. Unfortunately, some of the dye rubbed off on my top =(

Personal Thoughts:

I've always wanted to make this costume just because I actually DO sing so it is fitting for me.
