About this Costume
Construction Details:
The coat is a simplicity pattern I altered so the whole coat would be lined. I used a gold flocked taffeta for the fabric which I LOVE! I also made the skirt from the same simplicity pattern, but added clips, and chain, so the skirt can be down or easily clipped up into a bustle. The skirt is black taffeta. The tank I made from a matte black snakeskin spandex, using no pattern. The harness I fashioned from 3 belts, and it is used to hook my radio backpack onto. The clips on the side of my goggles, I made using copper wire and making bee wings from and has feathers gears, and half a pendant all together. The gun is a modified Nerf gun I did myself.
Personal Thoughts:
I really wanted to convey a story of a lost bumblebee in the desert with this photo set. I'm very happy with it and I want to continue the story with another shoot, of course when I'm not lost anymore and have found my way!

Styling Notes
I pulled everything to one side and did a fishtail braid. I then curled, back brushed and messed up the rest to make it look windswept. I added feathers throughout, and to the braid end.
