Construction Details:

The fuku were made a little differently than how I'm used to making them, but I learned a lot of new ways to tackle the same costume thanks to that. I'm pretty sure we bought Spandex House out of it's animal print spandex (minus my front bow, which has been dubbed "Lisa Frank sateen". Bows are held on by snaps, brooches are painted discs with our planet symbols on them, decked out in rhinestones. Tiaras are made by Catzia. "Boob armor" is made with spandex & batting & is completely removable from the body suit. Most of the costume is easily interchangeable so it can be used for other fuku (eternal, super etc) or other characters. Glove, hip & arm rolls are cording.

We held about 3 weekends of sewing parties to get these all done & made the same. my tear away is my old Rei Hino uniform, just with a lot more velcro on the seams.

Personal Thoughts:

My friends really do have the craziest ideas for skits. The original idea was to do a Sailor Moon skit in the classic fuku, set to "I'm Sexy & I Know It" & rework the lyrics so it said "We're Senshi & We Know It." & do tear away school girl uniforms to our fuku underneath. Then people decided to deck out the costumes in animal print & bling to LMFAO it up... & this was the result.
