About this Costume
Construction Details:
This costume was incredibly rushed. I worked on it for a month and didn't finish.

The wig was purchased off ebay.

I used the same contact lenses (customs from 9mmsfx.com) for my defauly Alois costume.

The undershirt was a simply constructed undershirt with very small lace ruffles added.

The coat and pants set was made in two days. They are made from silk brocade and are underlined in gold organza. The coat is than lined in a red organza lining. I wanted the costume is be as light as possible. I added sequin and beaded applique and a gold and red trim. I added 8 silver cross brooches at the buttons is balance the front. There was also epaulettes that I made with sequins and beads. I added long strings of beads to dangle as a way of representing spiderwebs and added a spider to each. The fur trim I bought with silver tassel in it but also added several layers of lace to have a more Victorian feel to it (instead of a straight up pimp)

The details were mostly in the accessories:

The hat was made as a full-sized top-hat would be made. I added brim wire to made the brim have the flapped lip. The wings were made of sheer black fabric with flocked spider webs. I added a beaded spider web design, more beading on the red bow and trim, and two brooches (one a spider on a web and the other an abstract floral design). Overall the hat was the most time consuming part.

The brooch pin was made with two different red fabrics sewn together and added beading. I added some frilled trim as well. The fangs were made with a translucent over-bake clay and I rubbed red paint on them to make them pop out a bit more.

The neck tie was sewn with the same red fabric as my wings, hat trim accent fabric, and brooch accent fabric. I added beads and a spider brooch..

The shoe base was bought and I added the collar onto them as well as the all beading a details.

Any other questions or more in depth questions, feel me to ask.
Personal Thoughts:
My twin and I wanted to do more Alois and Ciel costumes. Since Alois doesn't wear too many costumes we chose these.

Overall, I am not happy with the outcome of this costume. It was incredibly rushed and mostly all hand-sewn.
