About this Costume
Construction Details:
The easiest parts for me were the headband, choker, skirt and apron. The boots were actually found by accident - while holiday shopping the year before I found the boots at a Nine West store and I bought the last pairs which were luckily my size! :) I have one pair for cosplay and one pair for causal wear - they are the most comfortable boots ever!

Assembling the top was... a challenge. First I had to figure out how to do the straps that held up the sleeves (which I turned into 2 black bow ties to attach to either side). I had to imagine the top almost like having suspenders and after much experimenting I figured out how to make the triangle-shaped pattern.

I decided that since I wear glasses instead of contacts, I'd keep my glasses on - in the anime, one episode started with the maids in the maid cafe wearing glasses for Megane Day (Megane is the Japanese word for glasses).
Personal Thoughts:
I... honestly never thought I'd see the day that I would be wearing a maid costume, even for cosplay.

...and then I watched Kaichou wa Maid-sama. I fell in love with the costume that I just had to make it. I just had to! :)

It's by far... the most fun costume that I love to wear over and over again. I mean, both guys and girls love maids, yeah? :D
