About this Costume
Construction Details:
Used the same dress pattern I drafted for Merida's other dress just altered the neckline for both the white under-dress and the teal.
The teal dress has ~13 hours worth of screen printing on it of designs that were hand drawn out for my screen to match the ones seen on her dress in the movie. Countless hours were spent hand-gluing 3700 gems to the bottom.
Even though I don’t wear a corset with it as she does in the movie, I still can’t move or breathe in the thing lol.
Wig is also custom made by me (and is a continual piece of work) it was months of work hand curling every strand!

Wooden sword was bought on ebay and spray painted. Bow I've had for years and is the one I shoot with, in order to make it look like Merida's I made leather panels which wrap around it and tie on like a corset - bear designs are hand-carved into the leather & painted. Medallion and rocks at either end of the bow are made with sculpey. Arrows are also hand-made.
Personal Thoughts:
I love Merida ldkfj
