Construction Details:

The only thing that I didn't make for this costume were the boots and the wig - EVERY thing else was handmade.

The pants, shirt, and tabard were constructed out of a fine weave linen - the tabard was appliqued and then satin-stitched (I swear, it looks like the painting from Red Dragon if you stare at it.) It also has an applique on the back, for accuracy's sake (though you can't see it because of the cape!) The gloves were also sewn, appliqued, and satin-stitched. The cape was made of a rougher linen and I really considered appliqueing it, too...

The stirrups and gauntlets are faux leather (and really sweaty) and the designs are painted on.

The pauldrons and neckpiece were vaccuformed (with generous help from Makoto) - the white designs are Fun Foam that I glued on and then sealed with Mod Podge.

Personal Thoughts:

This costume brought me a lot of joy. :) Getting to do a CLAMP costume (and be Syaoran, yay!) was so much fun - it was definitely a challenge, but I'm itching to do another one... :3
