Construction Details:

Pretty easy. The little bolero vest thing I lined with some pretty embossed rose fabric, the outside if velvet (like upholstery velvet so it's really hot and dumb). The rest of the dress is some heavy satin business and MORE upholstery fabric. I liked upholstery fabric for Inara's outfit because of the rich-looking textures. However, it does not lend to the comfort aspect at all.

Personal Thoughts:

Again with these strong woman characters --- I seem to be drawn to them inexplicably. I love Inara. Even though she does what she does, she does it in a way that keeps to her "self" and I love that.
