Construction Details!
The whole dress was drafted. It was pretty simple. It started with a circle skirt and a gathered bodice, I then added the yolk and the gathered poof sleeves. I put a zipper right up the back, which was a pretty stupid idea as I cannot put this costume on by myself. xD There were over 8 yards of lace used for this dress (at least 7 on the skirt). Let's just say I'm tired of lace...

The apron was an old sheet that my mom was throwing out. I just cut out a square, hemmed it, added the tie and lace!

Howl's shirt was made from the same sheet as my apron. Once again I just drafted the pattern to my boyfriend's measurements then went from there. Very simple. The rest of Howl's costume was from his closet.

Calcifer was made from many pieces of felt and is completely hand stitched. I love that little guy. (:

Personal Thoughts:
Howl's Moving Castle has always been one of my favorite movies and I'm so glad that I was able to force Jeremy in cosplaying it with me as one of his first cosplays! :D
