About this Costume
Construction Details:
In its current state, since I WILL be getting a new jacket: the headband is some scrap fabric from the dress wrapped around an old one I don't wear anymore and sewn up kinda poorly by hand because it was a rush job, but you can't see if it's under the band. The jacket is godawful but ~passable~ for an event like Halloween, because it was NOT AT ALL AS DESCRIBED on the Internet, so I'm going to do my best to find the legit Topshop one in the meantime. The bodice of the dress is made out of a sequined stretch fabric from a local fabric store, the skirt from a light pink taffeta, and the petticoat/underskirt is a layer of tulle. The shoes are some old heels I have that I painted (previously used for Magnet as well, also painted for that) since I could not for the life of me find pink open-toed heels. The ring is from Forever 21.
Personal Thoughts:
I made this for Halloween 2012, and I was SO STOKED. Like, I had not had the opportunity to be this excited about a Halloween costume in such a long time, or excited period in literally five years. I haven't had a costume that I OMG HAD TO DO since I was probably in middle school, so I decided to revolutionize my life and move a costume, any costume, I was SUPER excited for to Halloween. And Doctor Who has taken over my life, and Rose is the best, so what better way?! I had an AMAZING day, and I found the Doctor downtown, and it was cute. I'll get legitimate photos of Rose later. I am so excited to be a Whovian, I can't even tell you.

Styling Notes
I managed to beehive the wig, while it gets a little messy with time. I may need help from someone who's better with wigs to help me style it. I just literally was not able to French knot the wig unless it was on my head, so I couldn't see what I was doing because the pins would get stuck in my hair/it'd fall apart if I took it off my head to put it back on the wighead to spray to death. I would like to Sharpie in her roots, but I didn't have the chance since this was an emergency wig and I don't have a bath to wash my wig in in the dorms.
