About this Costume

Hat and Tunic made from this awesome stretchy green fabric from Joanns, that I can't for the life of me remember the name of. I used a male tunic pattern and altered it to fit me and to have short sleeves. The boots are soft suede and the top flaps are made of suede that hook on to the top of the boot with pins. I used a short bang clip from Arda-Wigs in Light Blonde for the bangs. The shield and sword are my favorite parts of this costume! I made the shield from 2 layers of installation foam covered in water putty (which gave an amazing wood like texture!) and painted with wood stain and acrylic paint. I hold it on my arm with leather straps that are glued to the back ( and are in a constant state of trying to fall off). The sword is completely made of wood. I cut/sanded/stained and painted it.The handle is wrapped in white cotton gauze.
- Personal Thoughts:
- This costume was a lot of fun to make and wear. It was originally planned that I would wear this with my BF who would be cosplaying as adult Link, but due to circumstances, we were unable to wear them together. :(
