About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
The dress is made of matte satin, and has boning in the bodice. I drafted the bodice pattern from a bodice block that fits me (that I also drafted). The skirt has tulle inside to make it poofy. All of the edges are finished/have rolled hems. The beading on the dress and bustle are all plastic pearls and crystals (so they wouldn't shatter if they hit something hard), and I made all of the jewelry from glass pearls and beads. The crown is held on with two large alligator clips and is velvet stuffed with stuffing, and the pearls are on wire stabilized with hot glue.
- Personal Thoughts:
- I really love this costume, and I tried to make it as close to the picture as possible. :)
Wig Details
- Wig Brand
- Gothic Lolita Wigs
- Wig Name
- Classic
- Original Color:
- Powder Pink
- Styling Time
- 15 min
- Wig Quality Rating
- 4 / 5.00
- Styling Notes
- The only thing I did to this wig was cut the bangs. I also brush it with a regular brush to make it poofy.
- Wig Review
- The only downside to this wig is the back is a little thin, so you can see the wefts through it if you part the hair in back and put it over your shoulders.
