Construction Details:

This costume was such a pain. The skirt being the major part of it. I ended up seam ripping the dolls skirt to see the pattern better, drawing it by hand, scanning it into the computer, porting it to illustrator and then back to photoshop and printed it out and cut a stencil.

Then i decided i should just get custom fabric printed. So i then worked up the design in photoshop, sent it off to spoonflower and ti arrived. but the black was a dark grey, and was very obviously so against the black of the shirt. So i then silver paitn pen colored in the entire design twice and then dyed the fabric black, and all the paint pen washed out.

I then used a silver glitter fabric spray paint, sprayed that in a cup and painted thant on with a bruch over the whole design again. sewed up the skirt and dyed it black again. Its still not as black as id like it, but its better than it was.

I origianlly bought a black and whiate striped knit material to make the shirt out of, but it turned out to be too stretchy. i tried to make a shirt twice from it before i scrapped it and just made the shirt out of black and white cotton.

The body paint was sprayed on with a make your own spray paint kit from sherman williams and mehron body paints.
