Construction Details:

It's so normal looking but since it is, I wanted to get it as accurate as possible. There are a lot of details on the jacket that made it annoying as heck. I also hated the fact that his two tops are all symmetrical.

The inner shirt wasn't hard minus the fact that I had to ensure all the lines matched at the front and that the trim on the bottom also aligned once the zipper was placed in. It was really annoying to get right and took a few tries. It also didn't help that I made it took big the first time and had to adjust it even though everything aligned.

The jacket itself would have been simple if there weren't so many details. I would have had four pockets if I made it accurate but I decided to fake them. The belts were also annoying to make and I gave up with the collar one. I was lucky to have those button grommet things that were silver and only used the top part for the jacket. I am not happy with the waist buckle as I think it's too small but that can easily be changed with time. Everything that to be bought from a local store with lack of variety.

Personal Thoughts:

I didn't think I would cosplay Kai but I do love his character. He's just so monotone that it's awesome! I'm just really loving Vanguard now that owning things that would work with other characters motivates me to do them!

Styling Notes

I just trimmed the bangs more than I originally cut it for Starry Sky. I also straightened it as it was too flippy. I then hairsprayed half the hair to the side.
