Fairly simple to put together, nothing too difficult. Boots are modded with suede for the band around the ankle and a plush fur with batting inside for the trim around the top. Buttcape is suede lined in itself, longer fur glued on for the trim, and cotton ties. Front cape is poplin and ties in the back underneath the buttcape. Pants are cotton (double layered, because I was very particular about the shade of blue I used and the only one I liked was available in cotton). Top is a modded t-shirt (which I'm going to redo), white trim is ponte and all hand-sewn on. Forearm bands are jersey so they're fitted, same ponte used for the trim. Bicep band is genuine suede and painted. Hair pieces are cardboard tubing covered in the same material as the top with craft foam trim.
NEW!- made her parka for ALA'13. Used fleece and the same fur trims I used on the boots and the butt cape. Pendant on the color is sculpey and painted with acrylics. - Personal Thoughts:
- I absolutely love The Legend of Korra - its a fantastic show with fantastic characters, and I fell in love with Korra right after the first episode. She's such a badass and someone I can really relate to, and I knew immediately I wanted to cosplay as her.
Had a ton of fun wearing this with my Mako too c:
