Construction Details:

a deceptively simple costume i think. i made the white pants from some old gi pants i had. i cut them open and added the red and black to the side and made them look like chaps and added the black trim to the inside hole. the leggings and undies are all one piece and the white pants are sewn to those to stay up. the belt is made of the same red and black fabric as the pants. a lot of sewing tubes and turning them inside out and ironing and top stitching. the belt is sewn into place so i don't have to worry about arranging it every time i wear it. the pants are also attached to the belt so it stays in place and doesn't get separated. i made the top from red and black pleather. the design on the front is painted on. the hardest part of this costume was patterning and attaching the straps on myself. the sleeves are made from the same red and black spandex as the leggings. the gloves, spike bracelets, and foot things were all purchased on ebay. i had a black wig just laying around so i used that for juri. the odangos are made a foam that i carved and painted then covered with hair. i hot glued them to the wig then wrapped the hair from the wig around them. the circles in the hair are painted craft foam.

Personal Thoughts:

i never really liked juri until i saw the animated movie about her. she's pretty bad ass. i chose to do red instead of the original color because i was a newb and didn't know where to find fabric in the right colors
