About this Costume
Construction Details:
For the dress I started out with a plain white dress I found at the thrift store. I then modified it heavily, making it as seamless as possible in the sense that I didn't want to have a separate seam just for the zipper. What I ended up doing was putting an invisible zipper in the seam of one of the vertical stripes in the back. As for the bottom edging I used a simple foamy pool noodle and covered in with fabric and attached it to the dress.

For my shoes I found a random pair of heels that had the right thickness of the heel and then modified them. I covered the front area of the shoes with masking tape then paper mache. After that I used paper clay, sanded it down then a few layers of bondo until it was nice and smooth. For the top part of the shoe I cut out the shape I wanted from some PVC, painted it red and attached it to the shoe and adding a bow with snaps for the closure.

My choker is made from some vinyl tubing that I heated and bent till it kept the circular shape and spray painted it gold. The hair clips are just craft foam attached to large bobby pins and spray painted gold.

Gulliver was my bonus prop and I drafted the pattern for him by myself by first making a newspaper/masking tape double. I then covered it with a layer of plastic wrap then masking tape and cut it away where I wanted the seams and used that layer as my pattern. He's made from fleece, felt, and some leftover black spandex and a red ribbon.
Personal Thoughts:
Anemone is my absolute favorite character so I couldn't wait till I could finally make her. It was also a dream for me because my boyfriend also agreed to be my Dominic.
