Construction Details:

The shirt, pants, and hood are all different colors of a lycra and jersey blend, the pants being thicker and less stretchy than the others. I drafted the patterns for everything from scratch. The hood is stuffed with cotton batting and then lined with fleece. I dyed the shirt to be a bit more golden-orange, but it wasn't taking the dye very easily, so it's significantly more yellow than Vriska's shirt should be. I painted the Light symbol on with a stencil.The wings attach with velcro, and the shirt has a harness sewn onto the inside, attached just to the other side of the place the velcro is sewn on. The wings themselves still droop a little, and the wings don't sit just the way I'd like, so I pin them to my shoulders. I'll get the grasp of wings one day. I think I made them too big/heavy.

The wings are a blue organza with a framework of 14 gauge wire. I hotglued three layers of blue cellophane down on them for the details because the water-and-glue solution that was recommended to me wasn't working. That was what I initially tried and the layers came flying off as I was putting the wings in the car to go to the con and a gust of wind caught me.

Personal Thoughts:

Wings are REALLY HARD. I had never made them before and I had SUCH trouble. I do love the actual outfit, though, and I hope to get good wear out of it. Vriska is gr8. I'm just never making wings again. You know, until I make GT Meulin.
