Construction Details:

Basically this costume was originally put together on a whim since Seishin was supposed to be my main Shiki cosplay but it has quickly become one of my favourites.
I remade basically the entire outfit from the first version I wore in 2012 and it was definitely worth it. The addition of the cape really completed the ensemble.
The cape is gigantic and actually satin lined with satin (yo dawg, I heard you like satin) since I hate how cheap the normal red lining looks. So much satin. So heavy. The bottom was all cut freehand and all the gold trim was sewn by hand thanks to the boning in the collar getting in the way.
The vest is a slightly darker shade of satin and cotton closed with matching velcro.
There are a whole lot of frills down the front of the shirt but sadly they can't really be seen under the cape and cravat.

Personal Thoughts:

Love Seishirou's character. Also love describing him as the lovechild of Lestat and a majestic blue elk.
