Construction Details:

We used pantyhose for the arms and neck covering, and to paint the entire costumes from head to toe using a highlight and lowlight technique.The wings we changed up a bit, they were made mostly of foam with a pvc and chicken wire frame. We also chose to make our masks out of plaster and covered them with sculpy. To make stone-like hair we covered our heads with paper mache and then moulded the details with sculpy.

Personal Thoughts:

The Weeping Angels from Doctor Who are frightening monsters that first appeared in the episode titled "Blink". My friend Kilayi and I, decided to create these costumes as a way to challenge our costume making skills, as well as to create something eye-catching and scary. They were first worn at Dragon*Con 2010.
