About this Costume
Construction Details:
My Lugia/wifey made my wings for me. Cuz she is awesome. They're made from 4 layers of craft foam per wing and were glued together with 16 gauge gardening wire to hold them up.

The chest piece I just drew up what shape I wanted, added a seam allowance and then sewed it together. It has wire and interfacing to help keep its shape.

The green neckband is literally green ribbon that I sewed some velcro to.

The tutu is about 9 yards of tulle I hand knotted onto a ribbon. The overskirt is made from yellow dress fabric with rainbow sparkles. I thought it matched the character very well, considering canon artwork shows Ho-Oh having a yellow tail, but then it is described as having feathers that glisten like rainbows.
Personal Thoughts:
Such a great costume, very light and easy to wear. I have been tweaking it ever since i premiered it at Katsucon 2011.

I really like being a rainbow turkey.

Also running around with my fellow Generation 2 legendaries was super fun!
