About this Costume
Construction Details:
The main outfit is made from dark green stretch pleather from the Los Angeles Fashion District. The neon green fabric is glued onto the dark green. I used Vogue 8815 for the top, leaving off the peplum part and the sleeves. The pattern was perfect because it had the two vertical darts in the front, but no darts around the bust area, so I got to match the art. The pants are McCalls 6360. I bought the pattern because one of the variants had a stripe on the side, with the idea that I could just lengthen the pattern pieces and sew the stripe in. In all honesty, I regret this decision. Because this is such a close-fitting pattern, simply lengthening the pattern pieces didn't leave that much room for my calf. I also think I cut the size a smidge too small, so the pants are tighter than I would like and make bending the knees rather difficult. I'd like to remake the pants using McCalls 6173 if I have enough fabric. Unfortunately, I had a hard time figuring out how to attach the stripes to the pants and the glue didn't hold as well as I thought it would. The kneepads, belt, quiver and leg pouch are made with the same stretchy fabric, only in black. The leg pouch is actually functional, although the belt pouches aren't.

I made the quiver out of a mailing tube that i covered with fabric. I then made a backpack piece using the shirt pattern as a base and glued two pieces of elastic to the backpack. The quiver then slides into the elastic. It held up pretty well! I was surprised how well it worked.

The bow I'd like to replace. It is a costume bow and I lost the middle section of it that keeps the arms from moving when you pull back.

The wig is Arda's new ponytail wig, the Jasmine in Ash Blond. It is so perfect!

Shoes were bought in Fashion District as well.

Ultimately, I'm really proud of this outfit. It isn't perfect, but I really loved how it turned out as a whole.
Personal Thoughts:
This is one of my favorite costumes to wear! Artemis is my favorite character on the show, so I jumped at the chance to cosplay her.

Styling Notes
The wig comes with a ponytail, but Arda tells you to retie the ponytail so that it fits your head. I had a friend tie it while I wore it. I then pulled the long bangs back and pinned them around the ponytail.
Wig Review
The only reason I gave this wig a 4 instead of a 5 is that it is heavy. I thought it would be heavy, but I didn't expect it to be as heavy as it was. However, I'm going to sew in some toupee clips (http://www.newhairformen.com/images/hairpiec%20clip%206%20teeth%20large%20med.%20brown%20new.jpg) which will help with the weight issue. Other than the weight and having to retie the pony, this wig is GORGEOUS! Arda has such good quality wigs.
