Construction Details:

DAT HEADBAND. I don't even want to know how many hours and hot glue burns were put into those felt flowers.

the costume itself is three pieces: the top, the high waisted overskirt, and the underskirts. everything was made with a combination of flat-pattern drafting and draping. I was super into cascading skirts at that time, so this was basically an excuse for me to play around with designs for them.

oh yeah, and everything was designed by me. and by designed, I mean made a bunch of different random pieces with a basic color scheme in mind and added a bunch of trim to put it all together.

Personal Thoughts:

I always knew I'd reach a point in my life where I would make a My Little Pony costume (aka rock bottom), I just never thought it would come so soon.
