Construction Details:

I debuted the 80% done version of this costume at Genericon 2012 but now it is completed.


95% of the costume is made by me. I got help with the sleeves and pleats by being shown on to sew them on. This cosplay was the first one I made entirely from scratch.

Skirt- All of those lines are hand drawn on by me. I inhaled many chemicals from fabric paint from that but it was greatly worth it. I was originally going to use ribbon but I wanted the look of the lines being part of the skirt, now sewn in.

Shirt- I had trial and error with this. Originally it was too big but I adjusted the length to fit me right.

Collar- I love the collar

Personal Thoughts:

I wanted to cosplay a Sailor Scout for a long time but I was afraid to. I thought maybe I would ruin it and that saddened me but now I'm really happy with how it came out.

Styling Notes

After every wear, I brush it out to make sure it does not get too tangled
